Hello all, First of all I want to say that I love clansphere, a german directed me to this site and I'm quite content with the cms. Sometimes functions are hard to find but they are there and they work. And if I want to change something it is very easy to do so. Now to the point. I set up clansphere while still hosting my old site. The clansphere site was in a subfolder. When I was finished with editing clansphere I deleted everything from the httpdocs and after that I moved everything from the clansphere folder to the underlying folder. All of this worked great. The menu items direct to the new location and I can view the whole site. However everything with a button seems to be broken. Trying to log in brings me to the homepage without doing anything. The same counts for the shoutbox and the search function. Has anybody got a clue as to what might be wrong here? I sure hope so because my site lost all of its function now... Seems to be the session based xsrf-protection which denies submiting forms when the xsrf-protection key is invalid. At first you should try clearing the cache by deleting all .tpl files from the uploads/cache/ folder. if that does not work, try to set $cs_main['xsrf_protection'] = FALSE; in line 9 in the index.php file in the clansphere root folder. /e: i moved the thread into the "international" board ------------------ www.laszlokorte.de Zuletzt editiert von SCHIRI am 28.09.2010 um 17:34 Uhr (1x Editiert) |

Thanks for your help. Turning the protection off did the job However the weird thing is that it will only let me log in with a cookie now. I don't think that this is a big problem, probably I can make it so that it will always do a cookie so that login will always work. Will leaving xsrf protection off cause any security problems? Is there a way to get it back the way it used to be? |

it seems the session is not working at all but I have no guess what the problem could be at the moment. Maybe some one else knows. Yes there are secrurity problems when xsrf protection is turn off but for the first time it is not a big deal. Maybe the write access on several folders is not correct anymore so it can't write cache files or other stuff. The server path setting may be wrong if it is not automatic in System -> Options -> ClanSphere |

I have no clue how. But the problem fixed itself. Since yesterday i can log in without cookies and I ever turned the protection back on. Maybe it was just the cache but it took awhile to get into effect? Anyways, many thanks for your help! |
