Newly registered users do not receive email notification. This means they are inactive - is there a setting or is the email protocol wrong? |

there are a few different settings for user activation that can be found in the users options. there are also some email sending options that can be found in the contact module options. for errors watch clansphere's internal error log if activated. if its empty the problem resides somewhere else in 99% of all cases

Hi Hajo, Php log_errors = On. I see no errors in the CS logs. I have installed several php scripts that use sendmail and they all work. I also tested using SMTP and no success. I am using Xampp. I am so sorry to have generated so many post for basic task. If more users did many post, you could never code :(. Perhaps I should re-evaluate using ClanSphere at it current state. i'm talking about the logs activiation directly in clansphere setup.php $cs_logs['save_errors'] = 1; this enables logs to be written to uploads/logs/errors, also accessible via "system -> logs" menu or live by using the debug.php file / settings while surfing the clansphere pages ------------------ ClanSphere - professional clan care starts here |

When using SMTP errors = "cs_mail_smtp - Bad status code: 503 AUTH command used when not advertised" After I added: "$cs_logs['save_errors'] = 1;" removed the SMTP data email notifications now work - wow. Thank you. |

I am so sorry to had to generate so many post for basic task. If more users did many post, you could never code :(. Perhaps I should re-evaluate using ClanSphere at it current state. your questions make in most cases sense and our international power-users can be counted by hand. i think this community is german by about 95% or even speaks the german language. this truely leads to many questions due to the lack of good (english) documentation. i told you some days ago: wether clansphere is the right choice or not depends on your needs and possible substitutions for it that you've given a try to find out their benefits. we are not going to shackle you on clansphere

English correction on my part: "I am so sorry to have generated so many post . . . ." I made that statement as ClanSphere is being retired and wondered if these question are more of a distraction from developing CoreSphere. Wie schon in einem anderen Thread berichtet geht die Mail Funktion per smtp nicht... Hab aber nun die error logs aktiviert und bekomme folgendes: Fehler cs_mail_smtp - Bad status code: 550 Administrative prohibition Andere Daten: PHP ist über 5, Linux is drauf, siehe anderer Post, FSockopen is aktiviert, nur kilu.de unterstützt kein Phpmail wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe.... Daten sind laut Freenet Mail Anleitung richtig eingetragen und die Debug gibt beim Newsletter Versand keinen Fehler aus... das beste wäre sonst wohl, wenn mal per debug den smtp versand anstößt und aus dem log der dann oben in grau auf der seite erscheint den bereich mit den status codes usw. hier her kopierst, falls sichtbar bitte username / pw mit sternchen oder ähnlichem verschleiern, weiß gerade nicht, ob da was direkt angezeigt wird (eigtl. eher nicht). ------------------ ClanSphere - professional clan care starts here |

Bevor Ihr hier anfangt Clansphere zu zerlegen... 550 Administrative prohibition Ist ein Fehler, der aus der authentifizierung zum smtp Server resultiert und vom smtp-server zurückgegeben wird. Dieser Fehler ist der Grund, warum ich auf meinem root mein mailsystem 3mal nacheinander neu aufgesetzt habe (nun läufts endlich) Also kurz gesagt: es schein ein Problem mit dem verwendeten Mailsystem aufzutreten. ------------------ --- CLANSPHERE ---
