everything goes smoothly until i get to » 4. Configuration - Setup file couldn't be written, check chmod! read everything at ClanSphere Wiki CHMOD and even used filezilla to set the attributes to 777 was under the impression that i just did this to the Uploads Folder in the Database. but when failed, i set the attributes to the whole Directory with no luck either. there's something i'm overlooking maybe? any help is appreciated... thanks, cejay using godaddy for hosting |

you should go with 755 instead of 777 while its more secure. have you found any information or settings that still default to 777? if so we'll correct this. if the setup file couldn't be created there should be another button to manually copy n paste the content of that file to save it. further instructions should be in the installation regarding this. clansphere just needs a higher chmod for the base dir where e.g. the index.php is located plus uploads dir and its subdirs. the later part (uploads) is by default tried by the install script at the very end of installation. ------------------ ClanSphere - professional clan care starts here |
